The plainest employee it is possible to draw, wearing the commonest value in all 9 categories, scores 31.7; every score on a card is that number or higher. It has no effect anywhere in this protocol. Salary is divided by rank weight, and rank is earned by paying fees, reinvesting stock and waiting out tenure. The rarest coat in the building pays exactly what the commonest one pays.
